I talked to Donald, the choral director at the university in Alpine and music leader for the UU Church, about the opportunity a few years ago, and in his knowledgeable way he said,
"Sure. Come by. We'll see if you have any potential."
That was a bit intimidating. What if I don't? Thought about it and decided ignorance is bliss. Skipped the whole thing.
But I've been singing a lot more lately- karaoke and with J. I love our harmony. During his visit, J mentioned me recording with him on some songs in the future. Now I need to know- impetus for me to start discovering potential more directly.
They start tomorrow at 1:30pm, Fine Arts Building of Sul Ross University, choral room 200. Preparation for embarrassment starts.... now....
