forgetful

Where is my mind?

Scattered, battered, splattered on the ground, in the clouds, under shrouds of daydreams and fuzz, distracted, backtrack it to the last place I left, over, under, flat like pizza dough, frozen like snow, unable to grow through this haze, a boulder crashing down the mountain, drowning in a fountain somewhere off the coast of Spain, plain Jane almost sane, in space, shows in my face as I forget, forget, forget, hovering overhead, stuck back in bed, eyes peering over the comforter thinking about the light blinking on my printer, computer, phone, floating at the bottom of the pool, cruel to the senses, hopping fences for the the finish line, in time with cars, curled up in arms, safe and warm, inhabiting a world of spiral paper flipping, tripping, nipping at the heels of all these tasks, out to lunch, brooding a hunch that crashing, smashing, thrashing will come soon, need rest, and pass the test and test and test.

At its best. Soon. Calm it, don't fret. We've all done this before.
