Just had to share a random sentence from my current book. I'd be lying if I said I've paid enough attention in its 300 pages to tell you what this means:
"The luteinized theca cells produce progesterone in episodic burts or pulses, possibly related to LH pulses from the pituitary, while the lutenized granulosa cells produce progesterone in a continuous, sustained fashion known as tonic production."
Oh THAT'S tonic production. I always thought it was the kind work performed for souls who enjoy gin. Jynnintonix.
