what's up with juju?

I have never seen this word before in my life and it's popped up three time in the last week.

Juju.

What does it mean?

First, on the door of a Marfa bathroom, set in a nonsense phrase:
juju inket dewy kaka dined numb

Then in "Darma Bums" as the name for meditation beads (I thought they were japa, not juju).

Then from the Universe this morning:
"You're definitely in the right place, at the right time, with the right juju, Margaret."

What does it all MEAN? I feel like a character in I heart Huckabees.
